Field Survey Training

Come along to this Free event where you will learn how to look at the landscape with an archaeologist’s eye and identify archaeological features and sites and record them.
This will include photography, 3d modeling and written recording. All necessary equipment will be provided. You should be prepared to travel over rough ground. Please dress for the weather – typical outdoor gear for the West Highlands. Bring a packed lunch as well as a drink.

The itinerary currently looks like this:
2nd/3rd Kilchoan area – 10.30am – 4 (ish) (Meet at the car park for the ferry terminal on the 2nd)
3rd/4th Camas nan Geall/ Tor na Moine/ Bourblaige – 10.30am – flexible finish (to allow for regatta attendance) (Meeting place tbc.)
