Come along to a celebration of poet (and Bonnie Prince Charlie’s Gaelic tutor) Alasdair Mac Mhaighstir Alasdair, who lived in Coiremhuillin in the 1740s.
The all-day event takes place on Friday 2nd June and includes a walk to Coiremhuillin and Allt an t- Siucair, the launch of award-winning poet / translator, Taylor Strickland’s new book, a concert featuring Alasdair Whyte, Kilchoan Primary School children and local singers, and hopefully some spontaneous Gaelic singing! There will also be some whisky tasting, courtesy of Ardnamurchan Distillery, along with a raffle and a bar. All with take place at Kilchoan Community Centre, apart from the walk!
